Pair Work Activity----Area of the shaded Region of different polygons...by Waltonites of Class VII

Students were asked to find the area of the yellow region. They worked in pairs and area of yellow region was calculated.
They have also explained the strategy of finding the yellow area to the whole class.
With the help of this activity the concept of finding the shaded region of different polygons was very much clear to students. They were able to divide ANY irregular polygon into regular polygons.
